Austin’s Plethora Of Free Film Screenings

Published by Adam at 10:39 am under Austin, Events, Film, Screenings

One of the great things about Austin is its free movie screenings. Thanks to the likes of Aint It Cool News and Alamo Drafthouse, among others, these type of events go down all the time. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get on the Pineapple Express list, even though I missed out on the Tropic Thunder one. You can still go to either and wait for a stand-by ticket, but you’ll need two hours and some luck to pull that off. If I would just hurry up and buy my damn Fantastic Fest badge. Next week, I’m finally buying one next week. That and trying a little harder to pull some strings and get on all of these lists.

This is a summary for an upcoming screening. If you would pass it on to your blog readers, I would greatly appreciate it.

Between a heart attack and his next ugly divorce, the infamous Max Hagan, a former Dallas powerbroker, spends a long, penniless night with his daughter’s punk-rock boyfriend. From rock clubs to five-star hotels, Max rediscovers his family with the help of the local judge, punk rock, and the head of a deer. Boasting a soundtrack rife with the work of Texas musicians, The Night of White Pants proves you can never really know a man until you’ve spent a night in his pants.
